About Amber Gray
My name is Gray A. Chartrand; however, my stage name is Amber Gray. I am a singer/songwriter who writes songs that entail a sense of existentialism, reality, nature, and other philosophical concepts. My music pertains to a niche style that is created in the minimalistic form of earbuds to record, a mobile device to produce and edit, and backing tracks that aren't on loop--meaning I record the background guitar separately and hope that it works out with the timing of my vocals.
I grew up in a small town and was involved in my secondary school's theatre production: for musicals and classes. In my contribution to each year's musical performance, I found a growing passion for singing to a crowd and hope this continues to grow. My dream is to be able to perform my original music in London; I have visited London in 2024 and adored the architecture, culture, and fashion.
As of 2025, I currently work with a 6-string Yamaha, a 12-String Epiphone Hummingbird Acoustic-Electric, and a Squier electric guitar. As I continue to grow my musical journey, I also pursue multiple passions of media on the side: film-making, photography, art, and writing. I have always been a writer, whether it was poetry, short stories, or lyrics; I have recently picked up film-making more seriously; and have always played around with photography on mobile, recently getting into learning features of a Canon camera.
Through my music and other media, it is my intention to bring different perspectives to others whether it is to question one's own mind, society, environment, or psychology; it is my life-long journey, however, to contribute to the kindness in the world with "The Always Project," a mental-wellness project I'm growing to spread the word:
